Jeffrey Wood

Jeff Wood has lived in the Northern California area for over 30 years.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, from California State University, Sacramento, in 1996, before attending McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.  In his second year of law school, he obtained a paid internship with the Placer County District Attorney's office, which led to permanent employment.  Starting out in misdemeanors, Mr. Wood quickly moved through the ranks.  He handled both misdemeanor and felony DUI's, domestic violence, drug offenses, violent felonies, child abuse, murders, and 'strikers'.  Eventually he became the attorney to often handle the most challenging cases, sex offenses.

As the Sexual Assault prosecutor, Mr. Wood handled and tried rapes, molestations, child pornography, statutory rape, revenge porn, indecent exposure, pimping/pandering, sexual battery, sex offenders, human trafficking, and other sex crimes.  Due to his outstanding work and specialized knowledge, Mr. Wood was promoted to Supervising Deputy District Attorney of the Family Protection Unit.  Supervising nine attorneys, he was responsible for the handling of:
